Linux VPS Hosting – My Story

Today I’m going to talk about my experience with Linux VPS hosting and the company that I decided to trust my sites with. For many years I was on shared hosting and never had any problems until I started adding more sites and my sites started to grow. More traffic meant that more resources were needed to run smoothly. At that point, I realized that I needed to find a better option. I actually started off by looking for a cheap dedicated server. At the time when I was searching, I had never heard of virtual server hosting. Once I found out that Linux VPS hosting was an option, I realized that it would be a great substitution for the high cost of a dedicated server.
Now, the big question was which hosting company had the best VPS hosting? Nowadays, everybody and their brother offers hosting and they promise everything in the world. After reading countless reviews and comparing options and prices, I decided to go with ServInt. For me, the decision was easy. They have been around since 1995 and they are the world’s largest Enterprise-class Linux VPS hosting company. Not only do they guarantee 99.9% uptime, but they will reimburse you for downtime. They measure their uptime in years, not days or weeks. Throughout my research, I couldn’t find a single negative review on their service. The only thing I could find were happy customers that were glad they chose the best VPS hosting. Every review also mentioned that their support was outstanding and later I found this to be completely true.
It’s been about two years now since I switched over to Linux VPS hosting at ServInt and I could not be happier with my decision. The setup was free and fast. During the first week or so, while I was setting everything up, I had a couple issues but they were quickly resolved by the support team. They are amazing, very knowledgeable and can fix anything even if you break something (like I did). I also spent a lot of time reading the support forum just so I could learn as much as. It is jam-packed with helpful information. Even though I wanted to learn as much as possible, you really don’t have to know much to get started. Everything is already setup for you and the admin section is very easy to use.
You don’t have to take my word on this, but when something goes wrong with your VPS web host, don’t say that I didn’t warn you.
